hile to admire how tall and wide his house stood.
The grounds were immaculate with shrubbery, water displays and various fixated designs in the yard in which only rich people could afford. I guessed the stream of water rising from the fountain had to have a heating element of some sort. The house was huge with so many windows and walk-on balconies leading out from some of the rooms. The grounds were frozen over and piled up with snow, but just by looking, I knew they must have had someone who took care of the landscaping. They must have had all kinds of servants because it was such a huge property. Admiring the whole scene, I began to wonder how they got so rich. Maybe in exchanging stories about my own life and his, I could find out more about how Lonzo's parents acquired all of their wealth.
“Hey Impact, welcome to my home, man! My casa is your casa at least until my parents find out I brought home a stray man to their castle, then shit will hit the fan! My dad may not agree, but my mom may just try to make you my dad’s replacement. She will definitely try to push up on you and from experiencing how the ladies are already digging you, she will most definitely have the fire for you. My mom usually tries to get fresh with my friends, so I’m just warning you,” Lonzo explained. “She tries to get with Patrick and Gonzo all the time, but I don’t even know if she’s playing or not. If they bust her by telling my dad, she will be mud. Maybe it's just some innocent flirting and shit. But, I think it’s just her game. Then again, I’m not quite sure about my mom. I’m never sure about my mom. I think she is just a big flirt with no bad intentions. They got enough shit on her to black mail the hell out of her. She’s really crazy, man. You’d think she’s sixteen years old instead of thirty something.”
“Okay, I understand, I guess. And thanks for the welcome and the warning all in the same conversation."
Lonzo laughed.
"Really, Lonzo, I don’t think I’ve ever been welcomed and warned all at the same time. I do not wish to be a problem between your dad and your mom. I can work a job and make my own way,” I sincerely explained.
“Forget it, man!” Patrick said. “Lonzo’s parents are loaded with money. You’ll be the brother he’s always wanted.”
“Ah, how sweet, Lonzo has an adopted brother!” Gonzo teased.
“Gonzo, you’re always the comic,” I said. “Is it true, Lonzo, that you’ve always wanted a brother?”
“Yeah, I’ve always wanted a little brother, but my parents were just too busy to take the time from their careers to make another baby,” Lonzo complained. “I was their first and only accident.”
